Tragic Day on the Road: Accidents Took Lives and Injured

One tragic day on the country_q_s roads claimed the life of one person and left 13 others injured after 13 serious accidents shook the country over the past 24 hours. The announcement was published on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which cast a dark light on the state of road safety.

The capital Sofia turned out to be the epicenter of tension, where three serious and 31 minor traffic accidents left their mark. Unfortunately, one person lost their life in these incidents, and another two were injured, underlining the need for increased caution and attention from all road users.

The statistics up to the end of September reveal a worrying picture. A total of 629 accidents left their mark, with the tragic result of 40 fatalities and 726 injured. This figure underlines the seriousness of the problem and the need for immediate measures to improve road safety.

Since the beginning of the year, the registered 5135 traffic accidents have claimed the lives of 325 people and left 6409 injured. These alarming data serve as a tragic reminder of the fragility of human life and the need for constant attention to road safety.

Against the backdrop of this grim statistic, the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted a comparison with the previous year. According to the data, for the same period of 2024, there were 10 fewer fatalities among road users in 2025. However, the number of victims remains alarmingly high, highlighting the need to continue efforts to improve road safety.
