In the afternoon, however, cumulonimbus clouds will develop over the western regions, with short-term rain and thunderstorms possible in some places in the Sofia region. The precipitation will be local, but in individual neighborhoods, it could be more intense for a short time. The wind will be light to moderate, most often from the west-northwest, with temporary gusts during the storms.

Eastern and Western Bulgaria: more instability in the western part

In Western Bulgaria, June 15th will be warm but with more pronounced afternoon instability. The morning will be mostly sunny, with temperatures between 15 and 18 degrees, and daily maximums reaching 26–30 degrees. Around and after noon, powerful cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will develop in many places, with short-term rain, thunderstorms, and local wind gusts expected in some areas. Isolated cases of hail in typically vulnerable regions cannot be excluded.

In Eastern Bulgaria, the situation will be calmer. Sunny weather will dominate before noon, with minimum temperatures around 17–19 degrees and maximums between 27 and 31 degrees. Cloud cover will increase less compared to the western regions, as the probability of precipitation is lower and mainly concentrated in the interior, far from the seashore. The wind will be light to moderate, most often from the east-northeast.

In the mountains: good morning conditions, afternoon storms

In the mountainous regions, the day will start with good conditions for tourism – the morning will be mostly sunny, with temperatures around 17–19 degrees at about 1200 meters and around 11–13 degrees at 2000 meters. Visibility in the early hours will be good, and the wind – light to moderate.

In the afternoon, however, cumulonimbus clouds are expected to develop over the Rila, Pirin, Balkan Mountains, and parts of the Rhodopes. In many places, there will be short-term rain showers, accompanied by thunder and wind gusts, especially along the ridges and exposed mountain passes. Tourists should plan longer hikes for the first half of the day and avoid high parts of the mountain at the first signs of stormy cloud development.

Black Sea coast: sunny, warm, and suitable for swimming

Along the entire Black Sea coast on June 15th, typical summer weather is expected with prevailing sun and pleasant temperatures. Minimum values in the morning will be around 17–19 degrees, and daily maximums will reach 25–28 degrees, with it being 1–2 degrees warmer along the Southern Black Sea coast.

The sea water temperature along the coast will be around 21–22 degrees. The sea state will be slight to moderate – about 1–2 degrees, with a slight increase in the afternoon hours in open sections. The wind will be light to moderate from the east-southeast, with speeds around 3–7 m/s.

The estimated assessment for swimming safety along the Black Sea coast for June 15th is generally a green flag. Conditions are good for swimming, with possible shifts to a yellow flag in some places during temporary increases in wind or more pronounced swell.
