Tragic road toll
Over the last 24 hours, 16 serious road traffic accidents have been registered in the country, the Ministry of the Interior announced. As a result of the incidents, three people died, and another 28 were injured with varying degrees of severity.
Unlike the rest of the country, the situation in the capital is calmer – 19 minor accidents have been registered, in which no people were injured or killed.
Alarming trend for 2025
The data for the past 24 hours fits into the negative statistics for the current year. The department provided a comparative analysis:
- Comparison period: January – June 2025
- Increase in fatalities: 29 more people compared to the same period of the previous year.
Traffic police urge drivers to exercise increased caution, maintain distance, and strictly comply with road conditions in order to limit the number of tragic road accidents.
