Serious incident in Sunny Beach: ATV crashes into pedestrians

A serious incident shocked the Sunny Beach resort after an 18-year-old youth driving an ATV (all-terrain vehicle) crashed into a group of pedestrians on the sidewalk. The incident, which occurred at the height of the summer season, left six people injured - three children and three adults.

According to eyewitnesses, the ATV driver lost control of the vehicle and entered the pedestrian zone, sweeping away several people. The injured were urgently transported to a hospital in Burgas, where they are currently receiving medical care.

Stefan Smirnov, a local hotelier who was among the first to arrive at the scene of the incident, shared shocking details:

"He enters the sidewalk and sweeps away 4 or 5 people, one of whom is our employee. When we arrived at the scene, he was lying on the ground. What we know so far is that he has a broken pelvis. We are waiting for the test results to come out".

Ivaylo Dimitrov, another witness to the incident, added to the picture of chaos:

"When we arrived at the scene of the incident, there was a young woman unconscious, three ambulances were at the scene, a small child, visibly aged 5 or 6 years old and also unconscious, there was another small child. Our colleague, who was run over by this thing. The sight was shocking".

The incident raises serious questions about safety in the popular Black Sea resort and control over the use of ATVs in tourist areas.
