Luben Karavelov Secondary School in Nessebar welcomes the new school year with a renovated building

With a new look, improved conditions, and modern technologies, the largest school in the Municipality of Nessebar - Luben Karavelov Secondary School, is fully ready to welcome its more than 1300 students for the new school year. Before the first school bell, which will mark the beginning of classes, large-scale repair works and renovation of the material base have been completed, turning the educational institution into a modern educational center.

Significant improvements to the building and a new STEM center

Some of the most significant improvements have been made on the second floor of the building, where the classrooms of the second graders are located. The corridor has been completely renovated, with the old floors and ceilings replaced with modern and aesthetic solutions. A suspended ceiling has been installed, and all doors to the classrooms and sanitary facilities on the floor have been replaced, which contributes to better insulation and comfort.

A high-tech STEM center is being developed in the eastern wing of the third floor. The construction and installation works for its construction have been completed, and the furnishing stage is currently underway. This center will provide students with the opportunity for interactive learning in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and will become a key link in the educational process.

Modern equipment for teachers and students

The school is also equipped with the most modern technology, which will facilitate and improve teaching.

• Eight of the classrooms have 86-inch touch displays with built-in OPS modules, which allow direct work with interactive applications.
• Additionally, 56 tablets with two charging cabinets have been provided, which will be used by both students and teachers.
• Document cameras for teachers and high-tech laptops are also part of the innovations.
• In the care of health and hygiene, 29 contactless foam soap systems have been installed in the sanitary facilities throughout the building.

Mayor of Nessebar: "Modernization of the educational infrastructure is a priority"

The mayor of the municipality, Nikolay Dimitrov, commented on the significance of the project. "The completed renovation of the school in Nessebar is another step in the implementation of our priority policy for the modernization of the educational infrastructure in the municipality", he stated. The mayor emphasized that among the main tasks of the administration is also the expansion of the building fund of Luben Karavelov Secondary School, which is necessary to meet the requirements of the Law on Preschool and School Education for the introduction of a single-shift mode of education for all students.

In this regard, the Municipality of Nessebar is already working on a project for the reconstruction of the dormitory building, located in the school's yard. It is planned to be transformed into a modern educational base, specially designed for the youngest students of the educational institution. This step will allow optimal conditions for the learning process to be provided and the load on the main building to be eased.
