Incident in the center of Varna: Woman shot

A 73-year-old woman was shot in the arm today in the center of Varna, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior reported. The report about the incident was received around 10:20 a.m., after which police teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.

The victim was examined by emergency medical teams, and there is currently no danger to her life.

As of this hour:

  • The police have cordoned off the area of the incident.
  • Active search operations for the perpetrator are ongoing.
  • Investigators are establishing all the details surrounding the case.

We remind you that this is the second serious incident in the seaside capital within a week. On May 4, a woman of Lithuanian origin attacked four people with a knife, which caused a significant public outcry.
