Magazine LIK and stars of Bulgarian culture at Apollonia

SOZOPOL – The 41st Apollonia Arts Festival in Sozopol became the epicenter of significant cultural events, and today was marked by the presentation of the new issue of LIK magazine, dedicated to an important anniversary. The publication, which is part of the cultural heritage of the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) and reflects literary, artistic, and cultural life, is focused on the 130th anniversary of the beginning of organized tourism in Bulgaria. The presentation of the August issue took place within the forum in the section "The Price of Success", attracting the attention of the public to the history and development of Bulgarian tourism through the prism of art.

Literary meetings and theatrical performances

The cultural program of the festival continued with a series of events that excited visitors to the seaside town. A meeting with writer Vladimir Levchev took place at the Art Gallery in Sozopol, where he presented his book "Geography of Sleep". In the atmosphere of a lively conversation, the audience had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the author's world and learn more about the inspirations behind his works. A little later, on the stage of the Otets Paisiy Community Center, the Plovdiv Drama Theatre presented its performance "Elizabeth - the Virgin Queen". The show, which gathered many spectators, was met with applause as the actors breathed life into the historical drama.

Again at the Art Gallery, literature lovers witnessed the presentation of another book – "In Love with Life" by Maria Konakchieva. The events followed each other in a dynamic rhythm, reflecting the rich and diverse program of the festival.

Cinema and nostalgia

The evening also offered a look at the seventh art. At the Summer Cinema, viewers gathered to watch the film "Flesh" by director Dimitar Stoyanovich. Almost at the same time, just a few meters away in the Art Gallery, one of the most beloved Bulgarian writers, Georgi Gospodinov, spoke about "The Tide of the Past" through the prism of his last four books. His words, filled with depth and nostalgia, echoed in the gallery, prompting attendees to reflect on history and memory.

The evening, filled with emotions and art, ended under the stars with a concert by Mihaela Fileva in the Apollonia amphitheater. Her music filled the space, and the performer's energy infected the audience, who did not stop applauding.

The Apollonia Arts Festival is a tradition with a long history, starting back in 1984. The event is organized by the Apollonia Foundation, established in 1991. Every year, the festival stages in Sozopol become a stage for hundreds of artists and attract thousands of art lovers from Bulgaria and around the world. The festival strives to preserve the country's cultural traditions and support the development of new talents in various fields of art. This year's program includes more than 70 events, covering music, theater, literature, cinema, and fine arts.
