Sozopol, Bulgaria – A strong storm, combining gusty winds and heavy rain, has hit the territory of the Municipality of Sozopol in the last few hours. This was announced by the Mayor of the Municipality, Tihomir Yanakiev, on the official Facebook page of the Municipality.

In the midst of severe weather conditions, the mayor appealed to the citizens. "I urge all citizens who do not urgently need to go out to stay at home," he emphasized.

The storm also caused serious damage to the power supply in the area. According to information provided by the mayor, there were problems with electricity throughout the city. "At the moment, only in some parts of the Old Town is there still no electricity," Yanakiev specified.

The rain drums on the roofs, and the wind whistles in the gaps of the old houses in the Old Town. The atmosphere is tense, and the streets are almost deserted, although it is still daytime. The municipal teams are at work and are trying to control the situation.
