Sozopol: Schedule for Collecting Hazardous Waste in November

Sozopol – Residents of Sozopol municipality will have the opportunity to take advantage of a mobile point for collecting hazardous waste in November 2025. The initiative, organized by the Municipality of Sozopol, is part of efforts to protect the environment and safely dispose of waste that poses a potential threat.

The mobile collection system offers a convenient opportunity for citizens to get rid of waste that requires special treatment and should not be discarded in the general household stream. This waste contains hazardous substances that, if not treated properly, can pose a risk to human health and the environment.

Our reporter joins us from the scene, where, awaiting the arrival of the mobile point, several people are looking at the waste collected at home. The atmosphere is calm, but there is a palpable desire of people to participate in the preservation of nature.

At the mobile point, citizens will be able to hand in a number of wastes free of charge. These include cleaning products, pesticides and other chemicals used in households and gardens. Also accepted are mercury and mercury products such as thermometers and switches, old electrical appliances such as air conditioners, televisions, computers and monitors, as well as batteries, accumulators, oils, antifreeze, expired medicines, paints, varnishes, adhesives, solvents and contaminated packaging.

Here is the schedule for November 2025, with which the Municipality of Sozopol provides an opportunity for its residents to participate in this important initiative:

On November 3 (Monday) there will be two points: one in the village of Atia, residential complex Atia (near the playground) from 10:00 to 11:00, and the second - in the village of Atia, residential complex Minyor (near the grocery store) from 11:30 to 12:30.

On November 7 (Friday) the point will be in the village of Ravadino (in front of the town hall) from 10:00 to 11:00.

On November 17 (Monday) the mobile point will welcome the residents of the town of Chernomorets (opposite the post office) from 10:00 to 11:00.

On November 25 (Tuesday) the point will be located in the village of Ravna Gora (in front of the town hall) from 10:00 to 11:00, and then in the village of Rosen (in front of the town hall) from 11:30 to 12:30.

On November 26 (Wednesday) there will be two points in Sozopol: one in the New Town (near "Kita") from 09:30 to 11:30, and the other – in the Old Town (near "The Anchor") from 12:30 to 14:30.

The Municipality of Sozopol reminds residents that the responsible handover of hazardous waste is a key step towards creating a cleaner and safer environment.
