A photo of Nesebar by Antonina Angelova has won first place in the second "Postcard from Bulgaria" contest, the Ministry of Tourism press office said. The picture has been printed as a postcard and is already being handed out at tourist sites.

Deputy tourism minister Georgi Todorov presented the prizes to the three winners. The contest was run by Bgtourism.bg. Nearly 4,000 photos were entered from across Bulgaria, showing different tourist routes.

Vasil Ivanov from Pravets took second place with his photo of the bends of the Vacha reservoir. Third place went to Plamen Kostov from Kazanlak for his photo of the Devil's Bridge in the Rhodope Mountains.

"The initiative lets us see all kinds of beautiful corners of the country, and the big interest shows that people want to get to know more and more of Bulgaria," Todorov said.

The contest aims to encourage people to show and present the country's sights themselves.
