Chess Course Successfully Concludes in Pomorie, Part of the Asenevtsi Tour

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of a four-month free chess course, held within the framework of the IV National Chess Tour "Asenevtsi". The project, implemented with the support of the local authorities and the school system, opened the doors of chess art to the children of your municipality.

With great attention, the generosity of the initiative paid off, and young chess players from the municipality of Pomorie stood out with their talent and perseverance. Among them, Kristian Nikolaev, 8 years old, Andrey Zhekov, also 8 years old, Zoya Markova, 8 years old, Alexander Trifonov, 7 years old, all from "Ivan Vazov" Secondary School, as well as Ivaylo Yordanov, 8 years old, from "Hristo Botev" Primary School, stood out. With tireless persistence and enthusiasm, these young minds went through the training, demonstrating impressive progress. The support of the parents also proved to be crucial, helping to develop skills such as concentration, logical thinking, and discipline, establishing chess as an integral part of their daily development.

This is stated in a letter received today from the team of the Chess Club "Asenevtsi". We remind you that earlier this year, several classes of children from "Hristo Botev" Primary School and "Ivan Vazov" Secondary School from Pomorie took part in a free one-day tournament, part of the IV National Chess Tour "Asenevtsi". The participants had the opportunity to continue their training for free, having the privilege of training with some of the best Bulgarian chess players. During the course, the children learned the basic principles of the game, including chess notation, tactical and strategic approaches, basic checkmate constructions, and the development of the pieces. To assist in the acquisition of knowledge, each training session was recorded and sent for self-study, and additional materials provided an opportunity for a deeper understanding of the game.

Kristian Nikolaev, Andrey Zhekov, Zoya Markova, Alexander Trifonov, and Ivaylo Yordanov distinguished themselves with the fastest progress and exceptional results in this valuable initiative, proving that chess is a powerful tool for building critical thinking, concentration, and discipline.
