The report "People at Work 2025" by ADP reveals a worrying trend - a large part of the global workforce is experiencing insufficient confidence in their career advancement over the next three years. According to the survey, only 24% of employees believe they have the necessary skills for the next step in their professional development.
The lack of confidence in future promotions and opportunities in the labor market is also due to the fact that only 17% of the respondents consider that their employers invest enough in their training and development. This raises serious questions for businesses about the need for continuous upgrading of employee skills.
The data shows a clear link between investments in employee development and their productivity and loyalty. Employees receiving training are up to 6 times more likely to recommend their organization as a good place to work and 3.3 times more likely to consider themselves effective.
Providing opportunities for upskilling and reskilling proves to be of key importance not only for the satisfaction and growth of the staff, but also for the overall success of the organization. This includes the development of both technical and soft skills - especially important in the conditions of a rapidly changing market and digital transformation.
