This became clear from the words of the director of the Regional Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection" - Burgas, Nikolay Nikolaev, answering a journalistic question about the inspection of the fire protection system in the "Negresco" hotel. The hotel, built on a river, was subjected to special attention, in view of the potential risks. The question addressed was whether the hotel had the necessary documentation for operation.

"Hotel "Negresco", in order to be included in our schedules, should have been put into operation. It has been subject to control by us every year", Nikolaev said. His words suggest a systematic approach to safety control, emphasizing the importance of regular inspections.

According to the director, the clearing of the consequences of the flood in Elenite is ongoing. Efforts are focused on ensuring access to all buildings, which is of key importance for assessing the damage and starting the restoration activities.

Heavy equipment - excavators, bulldozers and trucks - has been sent to the site to deal with the abundant amount of debris. "At the moment, there are still areas in Elenite that need to be cleared - mud, trees, cars," the director said. The sight of the place is quite heavy, with visible traces of destruction and efforts to restore.

On Saturday, a constructor was sent to the site, who inspected the buildings. This is a key step to establish the structural integrity of the facilities.

It was established that the buildings are sustainable and people can enter them. "We have searched all buildings together with police officers and we believe that there is no problem to allow the presence of owners who can start clearing their properties," Nikolaev pointed out. This step allows owners to start restoring their properties while the authorities continue the clearing efforts.
