BURGAS - The Regional Governor of Burgas, Vladimir Krumov, has filed a report with the Ministry of Internal Affairs after an abuse was uncovered regarding a published online ad for the sale of state property in the Sarafovo neighborhood. The news was officially announced by the regional administration, which vehemently denied any involvement in the sale and assured that the plot is not for sale.

The abuse concerns a property with an area of 14,403 square meters, which has an approved deed for private state ownership. This plot has long been a subject of public attention, as local residents have strongly expressed their desire for a park to be built in its place. This civic initiative has become a driving force for the actions of the institutions.

In response to the community's requests, the Burgas Regional Administration and the Municipality of Burgas are currently working together on a procedure to change the detailed development plan. Their common goal is to create a separate parcel that will be transferred to the municipality free of charge for public needs. This is a key step toward realizing the residents' dream of a green zone and a place for recreation.

The situation is complicated by the fact that part of the property contains buildings owned by a commercial company. However, the land beneath them remains state property, which means that the company has absolutely no right to sell it or perform any transactions with it.

In connection with the incident, Regional Governor Vladimir Krumov made a sharp statement, quoted by the press center: "I categorically state that state property is managed only and exclusively under procedures strictly defined by law. In the case of a sale, this is done through public and transparent mechanisms that guarantee information and equal access. This never happens through ads on real estate websites. Such abuses are unacceptable and will receive an immediate reaction from the state".

Krumov also calls on citizens to be especially vigilant and not to trust misleading information. He is adamant that every reported instance of abuse will be thoroughly investigated and handed over to the competent authorities for further action.

The filed report has already led to an order for an inspection by the authorities, who will investigate the circumstances surrounding the ad and the identities of the people behind it. At this stage, the motives for this fraud are unclear, but the actions of the Regional Administration show a determination to quickly and effectively deal with the problem, protecting both state property and the public interest.

The drama around the Sarafovo property is another example of the need for increased control over public property and transparency in transactions involving it. Local authorities, supported by the community, are standing against attempts at illegal enrichment to ensure that the plot will be used in a way that serves all residents of Burgas.
