Criminal police from the Fourth Regional Department in Burgas, with assistance from the Aytos police, arrested a 20-year-old resident of Gorno Ezerovo. He is suspected of stealing 10,550 leva from a 68-year-old local on the morning of May 15. The stolen cash was recovered in full. The suspect confessed.
On May 16, around 15:40, officers from the Fifth Department stopped a Nissan Almera in the Rudnik area. The 43-year-old driver was under the influence of benzodiazepines. He was detained for 24 hours. A fast-track case has been opened.
On May 17 at about 17:00, police at the “Orlovets” checkpoint stopped a BMW 320 D driven by a 20-year-old Italian. He had used cannabis and refused to provide blood and urine samples. He was detained and the vehicle was confiscated.
Later that evening, at 22:30, a Volkswagen Touran was stopped on the Burgas–Primorsko road. A 39-year-old man with a criminal record was driving under the influence of cocaine. Police found 25 grams of marijuana and 3 grams of methamphetamine in the car. He was arrested, and the vehicle was seized.
On May 18 around 04:15, police in the Slaveykov district stopped a Renault Laguna. The 34-year-old driver tested positive for cocaine. He was detained for 24 hours.
That night at 23:22 in Karnobat, officers stopped an Audi A4 Avant. The 45-year-old driver was under the influence of cannabis and refused to provide a blood sample. He was arrested and a fast-track case initiated.
