Burgas Municipality is organizing a rich festive program from April 2nd to 12th for Lazarus Saturday, Palm Sunday, and Easter, including concerts, exhibitions, traditional rituals, and charitable initiatives. Residents and guests of the city will be able to enjoy a diverse cultural program for all ages.

With a diverse festive program, Burgas Municipality will celebrate the upcoming Lazarus Saturday, Palm Sunday and Easter in the days between April 2 and 12, the press center of the city administration announced.

Within a week, residents and guests of the city will be able to participate in concerts, exhibitions, traditional rituals and initiatives aimed at an audience of different ages and in different parts of the city.

The beginning of the festive cycle will be set with an open-air folk concert, and in the following days the program foresees spring concerts, creative workshops, bazaars and the traditional welcome of Lazar girls in the Ethnographic exhibition of the Regional Historical Museum. Also included are exhibitions and accompanying events with the participation of local ensembles and cultural organizations.

An emphasis in the program is the celebration of Lazarus Saturday, when a charity initiative dedicated to the Easter egg will be held, as well as a festive water blessing for health on St. Anastasia Island. The events combine traditional rituals and contemporary forms of cultural expression.

The culmination of the festive program is on Palm Sunday, when concerts, spectacles, art workshops and a festive procession will take place in the central city part and the Sea Garden. The program includes established performers, including Petya Buyuklieva, as well as a number of children's and youth formations. Festive events will also be held in various residential complexes of the city.

In the days before Easter, initiatives related to the preservation of Bulgarian traditions are planned, including a ritual for dyeing eggs on Maundy Thursday. On the night before Easter Sunday, a festive Paschal service will be held in the cathedral church "St. St. Cyril and Methodius".

The festive program will end on April 12 – Easter, with an open-air concert, which will bring together residents and guests of the city. Burgas Municipality points out that the initiatives combine tradition and contemporary art and aim to create a festive atmosphere and encourage the participation of the community in the cultural life of the city.

Абе хора, четох си новината за Бургас... ама вие наистина ли още се чудим дали да празнуваме Лазаровден и Цветница? Сериозно! Все едно има нещо нередно в това да запазим традициите си, а?
