Tribute to the memory of Hristo Botev in Pomorie

On June 2nd, Bulgaria bows its head in a minute of silence to honor the memory of Hristo Botev and all the heroes who died for the freedom of the Motherland. This year, Pomorie solemnly marks the 150th anniversary of the revolutionary's feat.

"He who falls in the fight for freedom, he does not die..."

The commemoration will take place on 02.06.2026 (Tuesday) in the "Sveti Georgi" neighborhood, in front of the bust-monument of the poet-revolutionary, located next to the community center.

Event Program:

  • 11:30 AM: Start of the commemorative program prepared by the "Svetlina 1939" Community Center.
  • 12:00 PM: Audible signal from the sirens as a sign of respect, followed by the laying of wreaths and flowers.

The following will take part in the program:

  • The Director of "Hristo Botev" Primary School – Petka Zlatinova, who will deliver a solemn speech.
  • Students of "Hristo Botev" Primary School.
  • Children from "Veselushko" Kindergarten.
  • Young talents from the "Svetulka" Children's Theater Studio.

The Municipality of Pomorie invites all residents and guests of the city to join the tribute and together pay our due respect to the Bulgarian heroes.
