The half-century history of the kindergarten in Nessebar - from humble beginnings to a modern educational center

Today, the Yana Laskova Kindergarten in Nessebar celebrated its 50th anniversary. The notable anniversary was honored with an exciting concert-spectacle presented by the pupils of the educational institution. The event, held at Artium, adorned the stage with fairy-tale characters and captivated children, teachers, parents and guests.

A congratulatory address on behalf of the Mayor of Nessebar Municipality, Nikolai Dimitrov, was read by Deputy Mayor Ivan Gurgoв. The speech emphasized that the past 50 years are proof of a worthy, responsible and dedicated path taken by the kindergarten staff. The strong tradition of continuity and the high professionalism of the teaching and non-teaching staff caring for the most precious - the younger generation - were highlighted.

The Director of the Yana Laskova Kindergarten, Mariana Mincheva, shared that half a century is a time filled with work, challenges, but also countless happy moments, with love, care and dedication. The educational institution, bearing the name of the renowned Yana Laskova, opened its doors on June 3, 1975 and is one of the first in the territory of Nessebar Municipality.

Initially, the Yana Laskova Kindergarten had 4 groups and 120 children. In 2009, its capacity increased to nearly 270 pupils, cared for by highly qualified teaching and non-teaching staff. From the same year, a large-scale modernization of the material base began, transforming the kindergarten into a modern, energy-efficient and multifunctional complex. The latest acquisitions include an improved outdoor space (2023) and an impressive gym (2025), providing ample opportunities for sports and educational activities with maximum safety.

Throughout its fifty-year history, the Yana Laskova Kindergarten in Nessebar has established itself as an educational center with a rich practice, successes and accolades, thanks to the efforts of teachers, caregivers and children.
