Police saved a 16-year-old teenager after an extensive search

The dramatic story of searching for 16-year-old Kiril ended successfully this morning, when police officers found him in the Bistritsa neighborhood of Dupnitsa. The boy was in visibly good condition and immediately returned to his family.

According to the official statement by Senior Commissioner Svetoslav Grigorov from the Regional Ministry of Interior in Kyustendil, the signal about the disappearance was received last night from the teenager's relatives. Immediately after receiving the information, the local police department initiated extensive search efforts.

The operation included large-scale night patrols and thorough review of city camera footage. Due to the boy's specific health status, the police immediately announced a national and international search.

The investigation continued for almost nine hours, with additional forces from the regional directorate joining the search. Around 9:30 in the morning, Kiril was found alive and well.

The boy's father, Dimitar Volodiev, expressed exceptional gratitude to the police officers for their quick and professional search actions, which continued throughout the night.
