In Bulgaria, 11 road accidents were registered in the last 24 hours, with 15 people injured, but no fatalities. The overall statistics since the beginning of the year show worrying trends, necessitating measures for road safety.

According to data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, published on the official website, a total of 11 road accidents were registered in the country during the past 24 hours, as a result of which 15 people were injured. Fortunately, there were no fatalities.

This statistic reflects the state of road safety in the country, which causes concern. Despite the absence of fatal cases in the last 24 hours, the overall picture from the beginning of the month shows a trend that requires attention. Since the beginning of the period, 86 accidents have been registered, leading to seven deaths and 118 injuries.

The analysis of the data from the beginning of the year raises even more serious questions. So far, 5217 road accidents have been reported, as a result of which 332 people have died and 6526 have been injured. This figure underscores the need for urgent measures to improve road safety and reduce the tragic consequences of road accidents.

However, when compared to the data for fatalities during the same period of 2024, a slight positive trend is observed. There is a decrease of eight people in the number of fatalities on the roads in 2025. This can be seen as a sign of potential progress, but it is clear that efforts to reduce the number of victims and injured must be intensified.

The question remains what lies ahead. What measures will be taken to maintain the positive trend and reduce the catastrophic statistics.
