Road incidents: 25 crashes and 34 injured in the last 24 hours

Over the past 24 hours, roads in the country have been the scene of numerous serious incidents, as official statistics from the Ministry of Interior (MoI) reveal a concerning picture. According to data published on the ministry's website, 25 road accidents were registered, in which a significant number of people were injured. Fortunately, no fatalities were registered during this period.

Although not fatal, these incidents left behind 34 injured people. Each of these cases serves as a reminder of the risks that exist on the road and the need for increased attention from drivers and pedestrians.

The situation in the capital

The situation in the capital, Sofia, is particularly tense. Statistics for the city show a total of 32 minor road accidents, which often lead to material damage but not serious injuries. More alarming, however, are the six serious accidents that occurred within the city's territory. In these incidents, nine people were injured, one of whom is in life-threatening condition. This data highlights the concentration of traffic and risky situations in the urban environment.

Road incidents since the beginning of the month and the year

Statistics for the past month and the beginning of the year reveal even more serious trends. Since the beginning of the month, 576 road incidents have been registered across the country. As a result, 37 people have lost their lives, and 755 have been injured. These numbers represent a serious warning for all road users.

From the beginning of the year to date, the Ministry of Interior has reported a total of 4363 road accidents. As a result of these crashes, 274 people have died and another 5482 have been injured. This statistic paints a grim picture of road safety in the country and raises questions about the effectiveness of prevention and control measures.

The MoI's data is a constant reminder that road safety remains one of the most serious problems in society. Every incident, regardless of its scale, has lasting consequences for the victims and their families. Therefore, it is imperative to take all possible measures to reduce the number of accidents and casualties on the roads.
