On May 31, in an area with temporary traffic organization due to the repair of the "Trakiya" highway, a strong air flow causes an incident in which road beacons are thrown towards Kristina Alexandrova's car, puncturing one of the tires. Immediately, junior traffic controller Alexander Slaveykov from the Road Police Sector of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior-Sofia arrives at the scene.
First, Slaveykov makes sure that Alexandrova and her young child are unharmed. Then, he quickly secures the area and regulates the traffic until road assistance arrives and the car is safely loaded. Alexandrova shares that in a moment of intense stress and fear, the presence, calmness, and commitment of the police officer were of exceptional importance to her and her son, as they felt protected and confident that they could rely on him.
