Politics is a responsibility to the people, carrying all the risks that entails, Radostin Vasilev stated to journalists, explaining why the "Moral, Unity, Honor" (MECH) party chose to participate in the presidential and vice-presidential elections on October 25 directly, without hiding behind initiative committees. The leader of MECH, who is running for head of state, emphasized that he personally invited Krasimir Manov to be his vice-presidential candidate, as the party could not afford not to offer its own nomination.

For the purpose of registration with the Central Election Commission (CEC), 5,000 signatures were collected from party structures. According to Vasilev, the political force's motivation remains unchanged, with truth at the core of their activities. In the words of the MECH leader, the voice of society should be heard more clearly from the presidential institution, rather than it becoming a mere extension of the executive branch.

Vasilev highlighted the need for serious reform in the presidency, with ideas including granting the head of state the power of legislative initiative, as well as more significant functions regarding national security. Emphasis was also placed on citizen access to governance—the presidential candidate believes that conducting local and national referendums should be facilitated to ensure more direct participation of voters in state affairs.

When asked by the media about the departure of Kiril Veselinski from the ranks of MECH, Radostin Vasilev clarified that it was due to personal reasons, which he could not disclose.
