Municipal Round of the Quiz "Let's Keep Children Safe on the Road" in Burgas

18 student teams participated in the municipal round of the national quiz “Let's Protect Children on the Road”. The competition was held at the “Morsko Casino” cultural center and took place with a strong competitive spirit, excellent organization and very good results.

Before the start of the competition, representatives of the institutions addressed the participants. Senior expert in physical education and sports at RUIO – Burgas, Pavlina Aleksieva, greeted the students on behalf of the head of RUIO – Burgas, Valentina Kamalieva, wishing them confidence, a successful performance and a worthy presentation. Kichka Stefanova – acting director of the Center for Personal Development Support – Burgas, also addressed the young participants with words of support.

The official start of the quiz was given by police inspector at OIMVR – Burgas, Vasil Skopchanov, who wished success to all teams in the competition.

In the competition, the students went through five rounds, in which they demonstrated excellent knowledge, very good preparation and quick thinking on topics related to road safety. The competition was dynamic, and the participants showed a serious attitude and impressive results.

The culmination came after the last round, when the final ranking was also determined. The team of OU “St. Prince Boris I” deservedly won first place, which will represent Burgas Municipality in the next stage of the national competition.

The fight for second place was especially tense. After the five competition rounds, the teams of SU “Konstantin Petkanov” and SU “Bishop Konstantin Preslavski” showed an extremely equal performance and entered a heated additional competition, which determined the final ranking.

Ranking:

• 1st place – OU “St. Prince Boris I”
• 2nd place – SU “Konstantin Petkanov”
• 3rd place – SU “Bishop Konstantin Preslavski”

The winner of the municipal round – the team of OU “St. Prince Boris I”, will represent Burgas Municipality in the regional round of the quiz, which will be held on April 21 in the city of Sungurlare.

The event once again showed that knowledge of road safety, acquired at a young age, is an important step towards building responsible and informed road users.
