For June 2, the NIMH forecasts cumulonimbus clouds and frequent showers in many regions of the country. It will be cooler along the Black Sea coast, with precipitation and moderate wind, while sea water remains around 19–20 degrees.

Burgas and the region: variable, with increased waves and a cooler sea

On June 2, variable to mostly cloudy weather is expected in Burgas and the region, with an increased probability of short-term rain showers, mainly in the afternoon hours. Daytime temperatures in the region will remain close to spring-summer norms – the maximum air temperature in the city will be around 23–25°, and along the coast of the region – between 22° and 24°.

The sea water temperature along the Southern Black Sea coast will be around 19–20°, which provides cooler conditions for swimming compared to the interior of the country. The wind will be moderate, mainly from the east-southeast, with speeds around 4–6 m/s, with gusts possibly stronger in exposed coastal areas.

The sea state is expected to be around 3 points, which means more noticeable waves and a more cautious approach when entering the water. Given the cloud cover, afternoon rain, and more significant waves, the preliminary swimming safety assessment is a "yellow flag" – swimming is permitted, but with increased caution, especially for children and inexperienced swimmers.

Sofia and the region: cool, with thunderstorms

In Sofia and the region, June 2 will be a mostly cloudy day with clearly defined cumulonimbus clouds. Morning temperatures will be around 12–13°, and in the afternoon maximum values will reach 22–23°. Short-term, locally intense rain showers accompanied by thunder are possible throughout the day.

A "yellow code" has been issued for the Sofia region due to the expected rain and thunderstorms, and it is recommended to be careful when traveling and to limit outdoor activities during the hours with the most intense phenomena. A moderate wind will blow from the west and northwest, which will further reinforce the feeling of cooler weather compared to previous days.

Eastern and Western Bulgaria: unstable atmosphere and rain

According to the NIMH forecast on June 2, cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will develop across the entire country. In many areas, short-term, temporarily intense rain showers accompanied by thunder are expected, with conditions for hail, mainly in the western and central parts.

In Eastern Bulgaria, maximum temperatures will be lower – around 21–22°, while in some areas of Southwestern Bulgaria, values will rise to 27–29°. The wind in the western half will be light to moderate from the northwest, and in Eastern Bulgaria – from the east-southeast, which contributes to the cooler feeling along the Black Sea and eastern plains.

In the mountains: significant cloudiness, rain, and stronger wind

Significant cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds are expected over the mountainous regions of the country. In many places, especially in the Central Balkan range and the Rila-Rhodope massif, the rain will be more intense, and thunderstorms and local hail are possible.

The maximum temperature at around 1200 meters will be around 18°, and at 2000 meters – around 12°, which means relatively cool but unstable conditions in the mountains. A moderate to strong west wind will blow, making the sensation of cold even stronger on exposed ridges and peaks. Tourists should heed the forecast, start hikes early, and avoid high areas in the afternoon.

Along the Black Sea coast: cloudy, with rain and cooler sea

Along the Black Sea coast on June 2, cloudiness will be mostly significant. There will be rain in many places, with showers being more noticeable along the southern coast during the afternoon hours. The wind will be moderate from the east-southeast, with temporary intensifications along exposed headlands and bays.

Maximum temperatures along the entire coast will be in the range of 22–24°. The sea water temperature is around 19–20°, and the sea state is expected to be around 3 points. In combination with the cloudy sky, rain, and moderate to strong wind, conditions for the beach and swimming will be rather limited.

For the Black Sea coast as a whole, the swimming safety assessment is a "yellow flag" – swimming is possible, but with increased caution, especially in larger waves, strong currents, and in areas without lifeguards. At certain moments and locations, during heavy rain and stronger waves, it is possible to shift to conditions close to a "red flag" due to reduced visibility and riskier sea currents.

Здравей, zbzg836! Разбирам напълно разочарованието ти – наистина е неприятно да планираш почивка и да те посрещне дъжд. Аз също много се надявах за слънце на морето в началото на юни!
