Deputy Minister of Education and Science Tanya Mihaylova participated in a groundbreaking ceremony for a new building at 201st Primary School in the village of Lozene, located in the Pancharevo district of Sofia. The project is funded with 3,000,000 leva under the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) program for extensions, additions, and reconstruction of nurseries, kindergartens, and schools. Sofia Municipality also participates with 6,430,708 leva in funding. Currently, 240 children study at the school, but after the expansion, almost twice as many students will be able to be enrolled.
The event was attended by Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev, Pancharevo District Mayor Evgeniya Aleksieva, the Head of the Regional Education Inspectorate in Sofia-city Vanya Kastreva, the Mayor of Lozene Vasil Stanchev, and others.
Later, Deputy Minister Mihaylova greeted the participants in the conference "Meaningful Youth Participation in Democratic Life," organized by the Human Resources Development Center, directed by Nikolay Spasov. She emphasized that it is important to create conditions in which the voice of young people has real weight, and their ideas are transformed into policies and actions that change the lives of the communities in which they live. Mihaylova assured that the Ministry of Education and Science works in close partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Human Resources Development Center, local authorities, and organizations to develop a comprehensive approach to youth policies.
The participants were also greeted by the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Petar Mladenov. Among the guests were the Director of the National Focal Point Lalo Kamenov and representatives of local authorities, where Youth Centers are currently operating or are to be opened. The event brought together over 100 youth workers from organizations and structures from different countries.

On the same day, Deputy Minister Mihaylova also participated in the celebration of the 55th anniversary of the Maria Curie Technological Vocational High School in Pernik. She congratulated the students and teachers and presented the school director, Tsvetelina Milanova, with a plaque from the Ministry of Education and Science.
