A 69-year-old woman from Nessebar became the oldest mother in Bulgaria after giving birth to twins through a Caesarean section. The pregnancy is the result of artificial insemination conducted abroad, and the mother and the newborns are in good health.

A 69-year-old woman from Nessebar set a national record, becoming the oldest mother in the country. The birth took place in a hospital in Burgas through a cesarean section, and the pregnancy is the result of an in vitro fertilization procedure performed abroad.

According to the medical professionals involved in the birth, the mother and the twins are doing well and will be discharged from the hospital in a few days. For now, the newborns are placed in incubators, but the maternity ward clarifies that this is a common practice in twin births.

The Burgas yellow newspaper "Soleno morsko" reports that the 69-year-old woman underwent hormonal treatment and in vitro fertilization abroad before giving birth to the twins in Bulgaria. This is the first case of a mother of such an advanced age in the country.
