The Mayor of Nesebar Municipality, Nikolay Dimitrov, participated in an emergency coordination meeting convened to deal with the consequences of the floods. The meeting brought together representatives of various institutions, united by the common goal of coordinating efforts to manage the situation. The Deputy Mayor of Tsarevo Municipality, Denis Dihanov, also attended, which testified to the regional significance of the disaster.
The atmosphere in the hall was tense, but filled with determination. Each attendee demonstrated a commitment to find the most effective ways to support the victims and restore normal life. As a result of intensive discussions, a key decision was made. By 5:00 PM today, pedestrian access will be provided for property owners to the critically affected area of Elenite. Access will be strictly controlled through a special checkpoint. The ban on the movement of vehicles remains in force, in order to facilitate the work of the heavy equipment engaged in clearing the accumulated damage. From 5:00 PM today until 8:30 AM the next day, access to the area will be restricted, in accordance with security measures.
Mayor Nikolay Dimitrov addressed the media to inform the public about the measures taken. He announced that Nesebar Municipality is already accepting applications for declaring the damage. Citizens have the opportunity to submit the necessary documents to the town hall in Sveti Vlas as well. This was met with relief from those affected, who received their first hope for support.
"The Municipality is assisting in sheltering the victims of the disaster and at the moment around 100 people are accommodated in facilities provided by the institution. Food and water are provided for the evacuees. By decision of the directors, the schools in the town of Sveti Vlas, the village of Kosharitsa, the town of Nesebar, the Sunny Beach resort and the village of Ravda will remain on online learning until Thursday inclusive, and the kindergartens are working normally," said Mr. Dimitrov.
