From October 16th to 19th, the ancient city of Nessebar is preparing to welcome two significant events that will unite gastronomy and sports in the heart of the Black Sea coast. The twelfth edition of the Fish Festival "Autumn Passages" and the 53rd Balkan Sailing Championship will gather local residents and guests in the lively Old Town, announced the press center of the city administration.
The events begin on October 16th, and in the following days Nessebar will become a stage for cultural and culinary delights. The "Autumn Passages" festival offers a rich program, including culinary demonstrations, concerts, children's animations, and film screenings. The delicious treats will be presented by chefs Diko Tomchev and Ivaylo Petkov, who will demonstrate their skills in preparing fish delicacies, organizing tastings as well.
Sailors will compete in the beautiful waters of the bay, while the sounds of music and laughter will be heard above them. The official opening of the festival and the start of the Balkan Sailing Championship are scheduled for October 17th at 5:00 PM. In the air, the excitement of the upcoming start is felt, and preparations for the big event can be seen on the streets. The same evening will end with an impressive concert by the beloved Bratia Argirovi, as well as performances by the Children's Dance Ensemble at the "Yana Laskova 1905" Community Center and the Municipal Children's Complex - Nessebar.
The atmosphere in Nessebar will turn into a celebration of the senses. On October 18th, the program will continue with more culinary demonstrations, a children's competition, a theatrical performance by the State Puppet Theatre - Burgas, and a concert by the Greek performers Sakis Veros and Sofia Danezi, who will contribute to the international color of the event.
The finale of the festival, on October 19th, will be marked by the announcement of the results and the awarding of the winners of the Balkan Sailing Championship. The closing chord of the program will be a concert by Mariana, Samuel, and a band, who will end these days of celebration with music and mood.
