Today, in the seaside town of Pomorie, a two-day international scientific conference on the topic "Literary Language and Dialects - Historical and Contemporary Aspects" began. The forum is organized on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the birth of Prof. Dr. Ivan Kochev - a prominent Bulgarian linguist, dialectologist and Balkanist, whose name is written in golden letters in the history of Bulgarian linguistics.
The official opening of the conference was marked by a congratulatory address from the Mayor of Pomorie, Ivan Aleksiev, who emphasized the contribution of Prof. Kochev to the development of science and the establishment of our national linguistic identity. Deputy Mayor Yancho Iliev welcomed the participants and wished them a fruitful work.

The beginning of the scientific forum was set by Prof. Dr. Ana Kocheva, who presented a report on the topic "The Linguistic Landscape of Pomorie". The conference also offers a number of other interesting developments that are of interest not only to specialists, but also to all those curious about the evolution of the Bulgarian language.
