Award Ceremony for Students from the "Chernorizets Hrabar" Mathematics Tournament

This Saturday, November 15, at the "Morsko Casino" cultural center, the "Georgi Baev" hall will be the arena for a solemn ceremony. The start is announced for 10:30 a.m. The event marks the awarding of students who participated in the XXXIV Autumn Mathematical Tournament "Chernorizets Hrabar".

The event is included in the Calendar Plan of competitions of the Union of Mathematicians in Bulgaria, as well as in that of the Ministry of Education and Science. It is held in honor of the Day of the National Enlighteners. The initiator of the event is the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IMI-BAS).

In the Burgas region this year, approximately 250 students participated in the tournament. The coordinator of the event is S&N "Education and Technologies".

The first edition of the tournament "Chernorizets Hrabar" was held on November 1, 1992. Then the event was a celebration of the Day of the National Enlighteners. Over the years, the program has been significantly expanded. In addition to the competition itself, master classes, summer and autumn mathematical seminars are organized. Also, collections of tasks and solutions are published.

The organizers declare that the tournament aims to stimulate interest in mathematics, to encourage logical thinking and to nurture the spirit of competition among young talents. The format of the competition – a test with multiple-choice answers – provides an opportunity for a wide range of students to test their strengths and stand out.

For the participants from the Burgas region, the beginning of the new school year passed under the sign of academicism, discipline and festivity, inspired by the spirit of the Day of the National Enlighteners.

During the ceremony, awards and certificates for the achievements will be presented. Students will have the opportunity to meet with the organizers, coordinators and their peers, which contributes to motivation and the creation of a favorable social environment for learning.
