National Forum Gathers State and Local Authorities in Bulgaria

Today, Bulgaria witnessed an event that, according to its organizers, sets an example for cooperation between different levels of government to achieve significant national goals. During a national forum that gathered representatives of state and local authorities, the chairman of the National Association of Mayors of Mayoralties in the Republic of Bulgaria (NAMMRB), Hristo Yanev, stated that this is a model for future collaborative work.

Forum for Small Settlements

The forum, organized by NAMM, was held under the motto "Challenges and Opportunities for the Development of Small Settlements". According to the mayor of Obzor, the event was unprecedented in its scale and scope. For the first time on a single platform, representatives of all key institutions met - from the largest ministries to the smallest mayoralties. The purpose of this high-level meeting was to openly and thoroughly discuss issues related to local governance.

In a statement to the media, Hristo Yanev expressed his gratitude to all participants. This call for unity and teamwork was a main focus of the event.

With its growing role in public life, NAMMRB is also noting a significant increase in its membership. According to chairman Yanev, in recent years the association has tripled its numbers, which testifies to its growing influence. According to data presented at the forum, the organization now represents the interests of a quarter of Bulgarian citizens. This positions the association as a key partner in the dialogue between the state administration and municipalities.

Against the backdrop of lively discussions that filled the hall, the mayors of mayoralties, who are closest to the people's problems, had the opportunity to present their views and seek solutions in a direct dialogue with representatives of the central government. The event became a platform for an honest conversation that will serve as a basis for developing future policies aimed at improving life in small settlements.
