KITEN – A tragic road incident has shaken the tranquility of the coastal town of Kiten, after a motorcyclist hit a small child. The accident, which occurred on August 24, once again draws attention to the risks for pedestrians, especially during the peak summer season when the streets are filled with tourists.

According to official information provided by the police, the incident happened when a 72-year-old man, driving a motorcycle, lost control of the vehicle due to reckless speed. As a result, he hit a 5-year-old boy from Sofia who was crossing the road at that moment.

The scene of the accident was marked by tension, as bystanders gathered around the injured child, and anxiety was palpable in the air. Fortunately, the consequences were not fatal. The boy sustained abrasions on his back and left leg, but after an examination by a medical team, he was released for home treatment. This outcome, while a relief, highlights the potential danger that non-compliance with road traffic rules poses.
