The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) has transferred advance funds to the Municipality of Tsarevo for the repair of the athletics track and the replacement of the lighting at the city stadium. This was announced by the municipal administration.

The project of the Municipality of Tsarevo has been approved for funding under the National Program for Shared Financing of Investment Sports Projects for 2025 of the MYS.

The investment is directed towards the property of the city stadium in Tsarevo and provides for the repair of the athletics track, as well as the replacement of the lighting system. The goal is to ensure the necessary lighting for both the track and the field.

The deadline for the execution of construction and installation works (CIW) is 12 months from the date of signing the contract with the MYS. The total value of the project is 1,608,953.34 leva with VAT.

The actual implementation of the activities on the site will begin in 2026, after conducting a procedure for the selection of a contractor.

The Municipal Council in Tsarevo decided in October this year that the municipality should apply for a project of the MYS for the repair of the sports infrastructure in the city.
