The prestigious mathematical competition "Mathematics Without Borders" will transform Nesebar into a global center of intellectual competitive space from June 28 to July 1. The forum, which is held under the patronage of Mayor Nikolay Dimitrov, will bring together an impressive 1,200 participants from various countries.
Among the finalists will be 758 young mathematicians from over 150 educational institutions, representing an impressive geographical palette. The competition will unite talents from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malta, Romania, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and the Philippines.
The innovative tournament format includes international participation even from countries outside the physical scope – Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong will be virtual participants. The host of the event will be the "Lyuben Karavelov" Secondary School, which will present its own team of second-graders.
The detailed program provides for large-scale mathematical challenges: an individual competition on June 28, a team competition, and a tournament of algebraic equations and arithmetic rebuses on June 29. The official opening is planned for 8:30 AM in the courtyard of the host school.
The culmination of the event will be the awards ceremony on July 1 at 9:00 AM at the "Zhana Chimbuleva" amphitheater in Old Nesebar, where the winners of this large-scale mathematical challenge will be announced.
