Man from Medovo set fire to his sister's house in Bata, Pomorie

A thirty-eight-year-old man from the village of Medovo set fire to his sister's house in the Pomorie village of Bata, the police announced, which caused alarm in the region.

The report of the arson was received around 6:59 a.m. on November 8, according to information provided by the authorities. The fire, which broke out in the property located at 11 Olympic Street, quickly engulfed the building. A team from the Regional Fire Safety and Civil Protection Directorate - Pomorie, immediately arrived at the scene, managing to control the flames and prevent their spread.

At the scene of the incident, in the early morning hours, the atmosphere was tense. Neighbors gathered, discussing what had happened. Smoke rose from the remains, and the firefighters' water sprays still glistened in the sun.

The perpetrator of the arson made a full confession, the police clarified. He has been detained for up to 24 hours while the investigation is ongoing.
