The team from 2nd and 4th grade of "Lyuben Karavelov" Secondary School in Nessebar won first place in the final stage of the football tournament "School Cubs", organized by the Bulgarian Football Union and UEFA. Two of the children were awarded individual prizes, and the President of the Bulgarian Football Union and Hristo Stoichkov personally congratulated the young champions.

The school team from Nessebar, composed of students from 2nd and 4th grade, triumphed with the first place in the final phase of the football tournament "School Cubs", organized under the Grassroots program of the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) and UEFA. The President of the BFU Georgi Ivanov and the Ballon d'Or winner Hristo Stoichkov awarded the children from SU "Lyuben Karavelov", who defeated the team of OU "Aleko Konstantinov" from Dimitrovgrad in the final match with a score of 2:0.

Two of the young football talents from Nessebar were awarded individual prizes - Nikolay Hristov from 4"g" class was chosen as the best player of the tournament, and Dimitar Adamov from 4"a" class received the prize for the best goalkeeper.

The children, students of the coaches Ilyan Dukov and Milcho Yanchev, showed that with hard work, persistence, dedication, will and discipline, dreams and successes are achievable. Over 3300 children and 280 schools from all over the country participated in the tournament, with the best teams reaching the final phase in Sofia.

The pilot project "School Cubs" is part of the long-term strategy of the BFU for the development of football and the popularization of the beloved game among the younger generation.
