Burgas Cultural Calendar: August Under the Sign of Art
August in Burgas carries the scent of books and inspiration. The city becomes a magnet for lovers of literature, cinema, and art with a series of free-admission events.
A highlight of the cultural program is the "With a Book on the Beach" festival, which will take place from August 12 to 16 in front of the "Flora" Expo Center.
Literary Meetings and Premieres
- August 5: Meeting of the Burgas Writers' Association with the BCPO "Cyril and Methodius" – Vienna at the Writers' House.
- August 11: Presentation of the book "Belgrade Experiences" by Georgi Dimitrov at the "Peyo Yavorov" Regional Library.
- August 22: Anthology "Reading People" – 15 short stories by contemporary Bulgarian authors.
- September: Poetry evenings with Anzhela Dimcheva (September 1) and Atanas Kapralov (September 3).
Cinema and Documentaries
The "Peyo Yavorov" Library invites cinephiles to screenings of French cinema (August 12, 19, and 26), as well as documentaries on underwater archaeology and short films (August 7 and 28).
Do not miss the poetry performance by Ivaylo Dimanov on August 20 at the "Sea Casino" Cultural Center.

Аха, "Литературно лято"... чудесно! Значи ще има книги, кино и срещи с хора, които пишат книги... ама да видим дали ще е нещо повече от просто запълване на августовските празни дни, а? 😏
Абе, хора... четох новината и се замислих. Бургас наистина се старае да предлага нещо различно, което е яко. Култура, кино на открито, срещи с автори – звучи супер готино, особено в горещ август.
