The Regional Police Directorate - Burgas registered an extremely dynamic period with a total of 13 solved crimes, three traffic accidents, and five police proceedings.
A series of incidents related to driving vehicles while intoxicated attracted the attention of law enforcement. On June 30th, in various parts of the region, four drivers with extremely high blood alcohol levels were detained.
The first case was registered in the morning on the road between Primorsko and Sozopol, where a 44-year-old man from Haskovo was stopped with a concentration of 1.25 per mille. The driver refused a chemical analysis and was detained for 24 hours.
Later the same day, around 2:20 PM on "Al. G. Kodjakafalia" Boulevard in the "Meden Rudnik" complex, officers from the Fourth District Precinct stopped a 49-year-old Burgas resident in a "Skoda Fabia", who was driving with 2.23 per mille of alcohol. The car was seized, and the driver was detained.
A third similar case was registered in Tsarevo, where a 56-year-old local resident was driving a "Piaggio" moped with an impressive 3.04 per mille. The vehicle was seized, and the driver was detained.
Another notable incident occurred in the evening on "Mikhail Lermontov" Street, when a 31-year-old Burgas resident without a driver's license was caught driving a "Mercedes" with 2.36 per mille of alcohol.
Parallel to these cases, the police also uncovered another crime - a 22-year-old woman from Prosenik village was caught with 10 grams of cannabis on "Knyaz Boris I" Street in Pomorie.
The traffic accidents were also dramatic. On the Burgas-Varna road, a Ukrainian citizen caused a collision with a motorcyclist from Ravda, who sustained an injury to his right shoulder.
Another incident occurred between the villages of Pirne and Poyanovo, where a motorcyclist from Stara Zagora hit a "Land Rover" driven by a woman from Varna, injuring himself and being admitted for observation.
The most serious accident happened on the Kableshkovo-Burgas road, where a 19-year-old woman from Bata village crashed a "Volkswagen Golf". As a result of the incident, she and her two companions were hospitalized with various injuries.
All cases have been documented and further investigation by the respective law enforcement agencies is pending.
