Key strike against a senior commander of the Yemeni rebels

Despite the intense rocket attacks from Iran after the start of "Operation Lion Rebellion", Jerusalem was surprised by the decrease in attacks from the Houthis. This is likely related to the strengthening of the assessment that the commander of the Yemeni terrorist organization was seriously wounded in the Israeli attack last Saturday.

A senior Israeli official revealed that "The Houthi commander al-Gamari arrived for a meeting to chew the khat, and we struck him there. This is no joke."

The attack on the senior Houthi commander Mohammed Abdelkarim al-Gamari was carried out on Saturday, in parallel with the strikes on Iran and the rocket attacks against Israel. The results of the assassination attempt and who was with the Houthi commander during the attack are still unknown, but it is assessed that there was a meeting of several senior leaders, and as noted, in Jerusalem the assessment is strengthening that al-Gamari was liquidated.

A source from the Yemeni security services told ynet after the assassination attempt that al-Gamari also served as the head of the terrorist organization's missile program. The attack was directed at his headquarters for meetings, located in an upscale neighborhood. The Houthis were then filmed setting up roadblocks, and ambulances were called to the scene.

Al-Gamari received training in Iran and was responsible for coordination between the Islamic Republic and the Houthis. The source further stated that the Houthi commander was among the "most dangerous" in the Yemeni terrorist organization, and if he was indeed liquidated, this represents a painful blow to both Iran and the Houthis.
