According to the Ministry of Interior, four people died and 20 were injured in crashes in Bulgaria in the last 24 hours. 16 incidents were registered in the country. The overall statistics for the year are concerning.

Four people died and 20 were injured in traffic accidents in the country during the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Interior. These alarming figures reveal the grim reality of the roads in our country, where every accident leaves behind not only damage, but also grieving relatives.

The Ministry of Interior (MIA) reported a total of 16 incidents throughout the country in the past 24 hours. The data, published on the official website of the department, show serious pressure on emergency services and health facilities. The situation at the scene of the incidents must have been tense, with sirens tearing through the silence and teams fighting for lives.

The capital city has witnessed increased activity in relation to road accidents. 21 minor road traffic accidents have been registered in the city, as well as one serious accident, leaving behind injured people.

A broader look at the situation for the current month shows even more worrying trends. A total of 253 accidents have been registered since the beginning of the month, leading to 25 lost human lives and 319 injured. This statistics reminds of the importance of caution and compliance with traffic rules.

If we go back further in time, covering the data from the beginning of the year, the picture becomes even grimmer. Since the beginning of the year, 5885 road traffic accidents have been registered. These incidents have claimed the lives of 398 people and caused injuries to 7330 people.

Despite this tragic picture, there is a small ray of hope. Comparing the data with the same period of the previous year, the MIA reports a decrease in the number of deceased road users. However, the difference of 13 fewer lost lives should not reassure us. It should motivate us to make even more efforts to improve road safety.
