A lorry has crashed on the Trakia motorway at the 157km mark in the direction of Sofia, and fuel is leaking from it, the regional police directorate said, according to BTA.

For now, traffic towards Sofia is using only the fast lane.

Police got the alert shortly before 5pm. First reports say the lorry crashed on its own after the 56-year-old driver felt unwell. He was taken to hospital.

A police team is at the scene. The driver's alcohol test was negative.
