Exhibition "I Love the Black Sea" in Nessebar for Sea Day

The exhibition "I Love the Black Sea" opened in Nessebar, marking International Black Sea Day. The exhibition features children's artwork inspired by the beauty and importance of the Black Sea.

Nesebar, on the eve of the Day of the National Enlighteners, marked International Black Sea Day with the opening of the annual exhibition "I Love the Black Sea".

The event, hosted by the mayor of the municipality, brought together artists, teachers, journalists, cultural figures and writers – prominent personalities who have contributed to the spiritual development of the community.

The air of the cultural center was filled with excitement as those present gathered, awaiting the opening. The event turned into a kind of celebration of art and recognition of the importance of the Black Sea.

"Today, in the presence of our enlighteners – those who create spirituality in our city and are involved in the upbringing of aesthetics and a sense of beauty, value and elevation – we are opening the exhibition "I Love the Black Sea_," said Mayor Nikolai Dimitrov. "These fellow citizens with a vigilant spirit and bright thought inspire the young and show the way to the cultural and spiritual growth of the community."

The mayor emphasized the significance of October 31, when Bulgaria and six other countries on the Black Sea coast celebrate a day dedicated to the care of the sea, its cleanliness, the balance of ecosystems and the unique organisms that inhabit it. "Last but not least, today we also honor the beauty of the Black Sea, as well as its vital role for all of us," added Dimitrov.

The presented works reflect the young artists' view of the sea – wide, friendly, emotional and inspiring. "In their works, children and young people recreate the beauty and power of the Black Sea and that special feeling of home and freedom that it brings. This is not only an expression of artistic talent, but also of responsibility and love for nature, which we must preserve for future generations,_q_ the mayor emphasized.

The competition, which this year again attracted international participation from the coastal countries, gathered about 1000 children and young people. The awarded works are exhibited in the Artium Center and will be available for viewing until the end of November.

Nesebar Municipality calls on residents and guests of the city to visit the exhibition and enjoy the children's inspiration dedicated to the Black Sea. The atmosphere of the exhibition promises to be filled with enthusiasm and creative energy, which testifies to the strong connection between the community and the sea.
