Historic Moment in Burgas: Grand Giro d'Italia Ceremony on May 6!

For the first time in the 109-year history of the legendary cycling race Giro d'Italia, Burgas has the honor of hosting the official team presentation ceremony. This grandiose event will take place on Eurosport 1, allowing millions of viewers around the world to witness this historic moment and see the seaside city, which is already ready to be in the spotlight. The event is organized with the financial support of the Ministry of Tourism.

16:00 h: A concert by the group "Goryasht Pyasak" in front of the outdoor stage of the Summer Theatre to create a festive atmosphere. 18:00 h: The official start of the team presentation with an impressive show featuring the Strandsja Professional Art Association, Trio D&E;JÀ VU, and acrobatic clubs.

On the day of the event (6 May), from 8:00 to 22:00, "24th Infantry Black Sea Regiment" St. will be closed to traffic in the section from "Demokratsia" St. to "Veliko Tarnovo" St.

How to get free tickets?

Entry is free, but it is mandatory to obtain a ticket in advance for good organization. Each visitor can receive up to 2 tickets per person (tickets are also required for children over 2 years old).

Tourist Information Center (next to the Clock Tower) – every day from 9:00 to 19:00. Online – through the official website: https://www.gotoburgas.com/event/24025 On site – at the Summer Theatre box office on the day of the event (between 12:00 and 17:00).

Important: It is recommended to arrive at least 30 minutes early, as all attendees must be seated in the Summer Theatre by 17:30.

Bulgaria at the center of the cycling world

The visit of Giro d'Italia is of historical significance for Bulgaria. Following the ceremony, Burgas will continue the celebration on the sporting stage: on 8 May, the city will welcome the finish of the first stage (Nesebar), and on 9 May, it will start the second stage towards Veliko Tarnovo.
