Iliana Iotova participates in the World Urban Forum in Baku
At the invitation of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Vice President Iliana Iotova is departing for a two-day visit to Baku on May 17 and 18. She will take part in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum – the most prestigious event in the world dedicated to urban development.
The forum was established by the UN in 2001 as a response to rapid urbanization and its global challenges.
This year, the forum adopts a special format with a first-of-its-kind summit of heads of state and government. Key discussion topics include:
- Safe and sustainable cities and communities
- Impact of urbanization on climate change
- Economic aspects of public policies
- Global housing provision

The Bulgarian delegation also includes Daniel Panov, Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo and Chairman of the National Association of Municipalities. Iliana Iotova is expected to hold a bilateral meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, during which the Bulgarian side will present its experience and vision for the future of modern cities.

16.05.2026, 13:37евала, йотенце! супер яко, че отиваме в баку да покажем к'во можем! важно е да се говори за градовете ни, трябва да са зелени и уютни за всички, а не като някои други дестинации, където само бетон и нерви има.
