Dialogue at "Dondukov" 2: The New Role of GERB-SDS

Vice President Iliana Iotova held consultations with representatives of the GERB-SDS parliamentary group. During the conversation, she emphasized the importance of the opposition for the stability of governance in the context of the new political situation, in which "Progressive Bulgaria" holds an absolute majority.

"The quality of governance depends not only on the behavior of those in power; it also depends on the activities of the opposition," emphasized Tomislav Donchev.

Priorities Facing the Country

• Budgetary discipline: GERB-SDS insist on a course toward fiscal consolidation and deficit reduction, declaring their readiness to support difficult but necessary reformist decisions.
• Investment process: The party warned that there should be no delay in investments under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) and operational programs during the transition of executive power.
• Legislative continuity: Raya Nazaryan stated that GERB-SDS will propose their own texts for judicial reform and will work to build upon the bills already adopted.

Education and Culture as a National Consensus

Yordanka Fandakova highlighted the need to restore political consensus on the topics of modernizing Bulgarian education and developing culture, expressing the expectation for rapid progress on the initiatives launched in the previous parliament.
