The electricity supply in the Elenite villa complex remains cut off, despite the efforts of the energy services, it became clear from an interview with Energy Minister Zhecho Stankov for the Bulgarian National Television this evening. Minister Stankov emphasized that the reason for the lack of electricity in the specific villa complex is related to technical problems and the need to check the internal network. In the context of the problems with the electricity supply caused by the snowfall in the western part of the country, including the regions of Trun, Montana and Etropole, it became clear that the government is taking action to solve the problem. Minister Stankov announced a joint initiative with the Minister of Agriculture and Food Georgi Tahov. "Regarding the power outage in the western part of Bulgaria and the regions of Trun, Montana and Etropole as a result of the snowfall, Zhecho Stankov said that together with the Minister of Agriculture and Food Georgi Tahov, they have prepared a bill, which is now available to the members of parliament," he noted.

The upcoming legislative changes aim to optimize the maintenance of the electricity transmission network. "According to him, the prepared legislative changes will allow for the clearing of shrubs and trees outside the currently regulated seven-meter zone of distance from the power lines, as well as all dangerous trees with a height of over 7 meters, which may threaten the energy system under severe weather conditions," the minister clarified. This suggests more effective measures to prevent future similar problems and strengthen the energy infrastructure.
