Drones have hit two ships in Bulgaria's economic zone in the Black Sea, the government's press office says. Prime minister Rumen Radev has called an urgent meeting with officials over the incident.

The defence ministry, interior ministry, transport ministry and environment ministry have been invited to attend, along with representatives of the president's office and the security services.

The meeting starts at 11:15, and the prime minister will speak to reporters at the start of it.

Updated (06.10, 10:28): Russian drones carried out the attack, local media report. One ship sank, killing two sailors, while 11 people were rescued. The damaged ship EMIL drifted toward Bulgarian waters, and the air force spotted it off Shabla. President Iliana Yotova scrapped a planned trip to Veliko Tarnovo over the incident.
