"Democratic Bulgaria" demands a temporary committee to investigate Delyan Peevski's income

Parliamentary oversight of Peevski's standard of living

"Democratic Bulgaria" (DB) has announced its intention to submit to the National Assembly a draft resolution for the establishment of a temporary parliamentary committee. Its main task will be to clarify facts regarding the significant discrepancies between the officially declared income, assets, and the actual standard of living of Delyan Peevski.

"The issue is no longer just personal, but rather whether institutions stop seeing when they are faced with a person of such political and economic weight," stated "Yes, Bulgaria".

Main objectives of the investigation:

• Verification of expenses for property rentals, luxury cars, and private jets.
• Establishing potential concealed funding or benefits from third parties.
• Analysis of the work of state bodies (NRA, Prosecutor's Office, anti-corruption commission) regarding the filed reports.

DB emphasizes that the case affects public trust in statehood and the principle that the law must be applied equally to all citizens, regardless of their influence.

We remind you that as early as September 2023, Bozhidar Bozhanov and Ivaylo Mirchev filed reports with the competent authorities. In response, on January 22, 2024, the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office initiated pre-trial proceedings on the case.
