Children from three kindergartens and one nursery in Burgas made fruit and vegetable drinks on the second day of Healthy Eating Week, Burgas council said. See our original report: Burgas kindergartens start Healthy Eating Week.

The theme of the day was "A superpower in a cup – healthy drinks!" Kalinka, Valshebstvo and Hans Christian Andersen kindergartens took part, along with Nursery No. 1 "Burgasko Detstvo".

The children put on aprons and chef's hats. They learned how natural fruit and vegetable drinks help the body and why vitamins matter for health.

In some kindergartens, the children thought up their own recipes, presented them as chefs and then tasted them. At the nursery, the toddlers also made drinks, learned about vitamins and tried their cup of "superpower".

The week runs under the motto "Healthy food – a superpower for all children!" and includes themed lessons, games and creative tasks. The council wants children to get used to eating well and looking after their health from an early age.

The activities run until 16 October in all kindergartens in the city.
